Despite just having a great environment for studies and all
those late night “yumca” at the various 24 hours “mamak” shops, Kampar is also one
of the best places for exercising comparing to anywhere that I’ve seen before.
The air in Kampar is cleaner, the people are friendlier, environment safer, and
lifestyle are a lot closer to nature; it’s kind of perfect in a way already, I
mean seriously, how good can it get?
It’s refreshing to see people that practices healthy
lifestyles go for jog when they feel like it, or getting together to exercise
or even by just going to the park or the lakeside to stroll. These are the
elements we don’t find too common in the lives of people nowadays as the lives
of many had been tied down by work and social as well as technology.
That’s why it kind of carry a light of hope for humanity as
we still know that lifestyles like these still exist in the present day where
the folks of Kampar still get together to exercise, students still participate
in psychical activities like wushu and taekwondo, and everybody are able to do
all these freely without any worries. This is the kind of place that we might
never again see and live to experience once we leave. There is an unexplained
sense of togetherness in this place which makes it so unique and yet peaceful
although I’m not sure what caused or started it. For all I know, it could be
the culture of the people here or maybe even an influence of the peaceful
environment here or maybe even both. But what is confirmed is that I will miss
this place one day when I leave.
